Well, it’s that time of year. The nation’s crowned its new celebrity king of the jungle, the Christmas markets are bustling despite the recent weather, and Chris Rea is on his long drive home.

But amidst the festive cheer, for executives, this is also the season of reflection. 2024 is almost in the rear-view mirror, and it’s time to ask the hard questions: What did you truly accomplish this year?

Sure, there were wins—there always are. But let’s not kid ourselves. We all have those moments that didn’t quite hit the mark, those bold moves we were too cautious to make, or opportunities we saw too late.

The real challenge now is looking ahead to 2025. What will you do differently? How will you make your mark—not just in your organisation, but in your industry? Are you prepared to take the risks that matter? To cut through the noise and deliver outcomes that genuinely move the needle?

The harsh truth is that leadership isn’t about playing it safe. It’s about pushing boundaries, embracing the uncomfortable, and having the courage to challenge the status quo. Because if you’re not making waves, someone else will—and they’ll leave you standing in their wake.

So as you raise a glass this holiday season, think not just about what you’ve achieved but what you’re really going to do in 2025 to stand out. After all, kings of the jungle aren’t just crowned on TV.

Here’s to a bold and brave 2025.
